Uncle Wally’s provided hundreds of muffins to our eager walkers. Thank you so, so much.

Greg T from Z-100, in his jovial way, got everyone “pumped up” for the walk. We wish to thank him for promoting the walk on the radio and for doing the great PSA which was aired on Cablevision. He then led the walkers on their 5K walk to show support for lupus.

And on that note.. thank you to Joan Gregory Hendricks, Area Director, Political and Community Affairs of Cablevision for the PSA on the walk which aired from September 15 to October 16 over 285 times on a variety of networks.

Thank you to Fusco, Brandenstein & Rada for providing live music entertainment. The Roadhouse Band was absolutely wonderful and was enjoyed by all.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Jen McEihiney who, year after year, has organized the face painting. The kids looked great. You and your helpers are the best.

We can always depend on Bellmore-Merrick Ambulance to be there to make sure our walkers make it back safely. Your continued support is does not go unnoticed.

AHRC was a tremendous help for sending volunteers to prepare over 8000 pieces of mail for the walk.

New this year was the CDD to help distribute brochures. Thank you.

The United Skates of America (Hicksville) “Skate-a-Sauras” was a very big hit with the kids. Thanks for all the handouts. Also, thank you to the Old Country Buffet “Bee” for entertaining the children and for all the handouts.

As of this posting, the proceeds from the walk have totaled over $270,000…..and money is still coming in.
