Let Kids Be Kids Trips |
Three to four times a year The Lupus Alliance of America Long Island/ Queens Affiliate arranges free day trips for kids and teens with lupus, their siblings, and kids and teens whose parents have lupus.
These trips are part of our Let Kids Be Kids program, offering children with lupus and children whose families are affected by lupus with the chance to have some fun, while offering parents who may not be able to afford day trips like these the chance to let their children get out an enjoy without the worry of the price.
The trips are for children ages 7-17 and their parents. Participating families must be members of the Alliance. Transportation to the destinations are provided by charter bus, with two pick up locations, one in Bellmore, and one in Bayshore.

The Coney Island Aquarium
The Museum of Natural History
The Vanderbuilt Planetarium
